It is a myth. The truth is – being profitable in Forex requires a lot of work, dedication, practice, more than a good discipline, sharp knowledge of money management and understanding of the psychology of the currency market. Not so little and therefore not so easy…
Trading Forex was never about gambling

Trading is not a gambling by guessing where the price will move, although there are many traders (mostly beginners) that are exactly gambling… Trading currencies on the Forex market requires logical and analytical calculations based either on fundamental or technical analysis of price moves.
Making money in Forex requires a set of rules

Making money starts with a plan to make money. Such plan is of enormous importance when it comes to trading foreign currencies. But, besides creating a plan, a trader needs constantly follow it. How often trader brake his rules will affect how much money he will make trading Forex. Sounds simple: create and follow… However, there is a real challenge when trader follows the rules but rules fail to make money… it happens inevitably for every trading system known. If system had proven to be successful, sticking to the trading plan and firmly following the rules even when losing money will eventually yield profitable outcome. Having strong trading discipline and taking losses when necessary is a sign of serious trading approach.
Succeeding in Forex by using money management

To profit in Forex sticking to a set of rules is not enough. Good money management is also needed. Knowledge of how much to trade per each open position and where and when to stop – is what separates successful trader from bankrupt trader. Many beginner traders over-leverage themselves being attracted by big and promising leverages offered by Forex brokers. The truth is that a big leverage is not only about a big win, but also when it comes to be so – a big loss. Leverage higher than 1:20 will not attract serious investors.
Know your losses, before counting profits

Opening a new trading position must be first of all about how much money may be lost and then what would be the profits. Good money management implies that trader is expecting to win at least twice as much as he could lose on each trade. This way being right only 50% of the time will still make trading profitable.
Using good money management in Forex trading is hundred times more important than having any great trading system itself.
Forex traders’ mind

And last but not least is trader’s psychology. Going in profit or losing money always create psychological challenge for trader to act responsively. Not being greedy and also cutting losses short is the key to this game.
Trading Forex you need to accept losses. They are inevitable and occur in any money involving operations. Therefore, instead of battling losses trader needs to accurately analyze unfavorable situations and take lessons from losing trades.
Every experienced trader would also suggest – there must be no attempts for revenge when losing money. Trying to return your money at any cost will put a trader in deeper troubles. Instead, the trader should return to trading rules and honestly analyze own mistakes, accept that the market was not in his favor and try to improve the trading plan for future success.
Successful traders are learners, what about you?

And finally, even successful traders are constant learners. Up-to-date knowledge about Forex market opportunities is what also makes them continuously profitable in their trading career.

Happy learning and trading!

Indicator - Quick Guide

This post is an idea from my friends.He want me to list the most favoured basic indicator setting.Here we go..

===============
Stochastic Slow
===============

%K %D Slow
1) 5 / 3 / 3
2) 5 / 3 / 2
3) 8 / 3 / 3
4) 14 / 3 / 5

=====================================
Moving Average Convergence Divergence
=====================================

Fast Slow MACD SMA
1) 12 / 26 / 9 (Default)
2) 5 / 34 / 5
3) 6 / 9 / 3
4) 8 / 17 / 9

=======================
Relative Strength Index
=======================

Period
1) 3
2) 5
3) 9
4) 14
5) 21

=============
Parabolic SAR
=============

Step Maximum/Acceleration
1) 0.02 0.2 (default)
2) 0.12 0.2
3) 0.01 0.2

===============
Bolinger Bands
===============

Period Deviations Shift
1) 20 2 0 (Default)
2) 22 2 0
3) 21 2 0
2) 22 2 -1

Will add more soon.

Brain Trading

Fully improved, updated, alarm fixed and everything was fixed as well.

And an other indicators which I am using together with this system.

Edited: all BrainTrading indicators were updated (attached). SO.. its quite difficult to make the decision when or which one is the best time for entries. For me actually, the best and safest is looking for the entry 5-10 minutes before the next candle ( TF 30 ) turn up.. OR just making an order after the next candle turn up..

TAKE PROFIT & STOP LOSS

TP MIN -10 - 15 PIPS
RECOMMENDED SL - 35 - 50

OR

SET TP AND SL REFERS TOFIBO_PIVOT2 LINES

EXAMPLES - BUY SIGNAL IS ON RESISTANCE 1 LINES, SET UR TP AT PIVOT LINES AND STOPLOSS AT RESISTANCE 2

(FIBO_PIVOT LINES IS JUST PROFIT TAKING LEVEL IN ISAKASv2 METHOD)

BRIEFLY ABOUT EXIT TARGET

Maximum pips...All trader hopes to rides until the finishing lines..Its quite hard and risky..U can used ur own indicator and strategies for exit target ( HMA, NON LAGMA,PSAR, TRAILING, ) Also u can double ur position order.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/R1LShyDAefI/AAAAAAAAAGM/--wJhnFPWlc/s400/rules.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5139401602595060210" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/R1LSpSDAegI/AAAAAAAAAGU/hMKcspz2De4/s400/gu15.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5139401731444079106" />

Download Here

Isakas 2 By Zeman

TimeFrame 30
and the important thing here now
SL need to set lower than TP
refers to the pairs range volatility.
Recommended
for GJ and EJ = SL 40 = TP 50
others = SL 30 =TP 35
or just follow the nonlagdot colours changing..

Entry Buy
- bbands blue, fisher blue, flattrend blue, nonlagdot blue.

Entry Sell
- bbands red, fisher red, flattrend red, nonlagdot red.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/R1J2jyDAecI/AAAAAAAAAF0/yjP297sJmKg/s400/gj.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5139300481885043138" />
**nonlagdot also can be usefull for exit target.. By following along, I hope that you'll be able to use this as a guide for following your own trading system each and every day. But before you follow along, here is a little background on the system that I will be trading. Actually this syetem has been widely spread over the internet but I want to tell you that it really works. The first system I used for trading is the following system.

The Main Trend Is Your Friend

The main concept of the theory is to catch small trends during the day while avoiding fakeouts. Simple right? Wrong! It's easier said than done. I will be making my trades off of a 15 minute chart, but I will be using a 4hr. chart to give me my main trend. If my 4hr. chart is trending up, then I will only be looking to go long on the 15 minute chart. On the other hand, if my 4hr. chart is trending down, then I will only be looking to go short on the 15 minute chart. By looking at the main trend first, I will have a better chance for a winning trade by moving along with the current market direction.

4hr. Chart Settings:

• 5 EMA applied to the close
• 10 EMA applied to the close
• Stochastics (10,3,3)
• RSI (9)

After establishing the main trend , it's time to look for trade entries on the 15 minute chart. The 15 minute chart looks similar to the 4hr. chart, except for the fact that I have added a MACD histogram. The trade entry rules are simple:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/Rzg6oswh7wI/AAAAAAAAAEc/uyf04YoH_xU/s400/Maintrend.gif.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5131916246272569090" />

The 15 Minute Chart

• 5 EMA applied to the close
• 10 EMA applied to the close
• RSI (9)
• Stochastics (10,3,3)
• MACD Histogram (12,26,9)

Long Signal:

• 5 EMA must cross above the 10 EMA (Indicated on chart by a black candle)
• RSI must be greater than 50
• Stochastics must be headed up and not in overbought territory
• MACD histogram must go from negative to positive OR be negative and start
to increase value. (We want to catch trends early so the MACD histogram
must be negative)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/Rzg7m8wh7xI/AAAAAAAAAEk/3B6aA1eQ6D8/s400/long.gif.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5131917315719425810" />

Short Signal:

• 5 EMA must cross below the 10 EMA (Indicated on chart by
a purple candle)
• RSI must be less than 50
• Stochastics must be headed down and not in oversold territory
• MACD histogram must go from positive to negative OR be positive
and start to decrease in value. (We want to catch trends early
so the MACD histogram must be positive)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/Rzg768wh7yI/AAAAAAAAAEs/mpFtI2BbZyI/s400/short-s.gif.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5131917659316809506" />

Stop Losses

There is not a hard number that I use for a stop loss. Instead I use either the most recent swing low (for long trades) or the most recent swing high (for short trades) as my stop loss. Using the examples above, this is where I would place my stops:
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/Rzg8O8wh70I/AAAAAAAAAE8/YnG8_dmLA1A/s400/shortstop-s.gif.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5131918002914193218" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/Rzg8Iswh7zI/AAAAAAAAAE0/WldvaOxmEH8/s400/longstop.gif.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5131917895540010802" />

n these examples, the stop losses were not that wide. However, there will be times when the most recent swing high or low is several pips away from your entry. This is where you must be careful. If the stop is too wide for you to keep within your money management rules, simply stay out of the market! Trust me, there will always be another trade later. Even if that trade happens to win a gazillion pips, you should never compromise or doubt your decision to follow strict money management.

Happy trading

Fx-5 Self Adjusting RSI

In February issue of Technical Analysis of STOCKS & COMMODITIES magazine David Sepiashvili presented a new idea for adjusting RSI overbought-oversold levels. The advantage of this approached is that it could be applied to multiple market conditions without regard to the calculation period. This standardization facilitates the usage of the indicator in Multiframe analysis.

The article contained two different algorithms for of adjusting the width of the overbought and oversold bands for the RSI. This indicator draws RSI and the self-adjusting overbought-overslold levels.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/RzCbRyxSgBI/AAAAAAAAADo/gLhkn8Hftf4/s400/fx5_selfadjustingrsi_1.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5129770705563582482" />

If the parameter MA-Method is set to true the bands are calculted by moveing average based algorithm. If the H1 & H4 are the same color the trading range is generally large if different the range is generally smaller and the trading tends to be choppy.

This can be located in either the top left or top right of your chart and has the option of either having the extra details ( Daily Av, spread etc ) or not.

The price color changes based on the average daily trend condition
LIME = UP ................. ORANGE = Flat ................. RED = Down

The MACD is based on a fast setting of 8/17/9 and has a quicker response than the standard 12/26/9 settings. If the MACD xrosses UP while below the zero level the color is GREEN if it xrosses UP while above the zero line the color is LIME and for the xross DOWN if above the zero level it is TOMATO and below the zreo level RED, so if for example the price turns UP below the zero level it turns GREEN and then if it continues up thru the zero level it turns LIME which shows the move has some strength.

The STR is based on the average of RSI Period 9 / Stoch 533 & CCI Period 13
If all the indicators are showing an UP move then the bar color is LIME, for a DOWN move RED and if some are UP and some DOWN then ORANGE

The EMA is based on the xross of an EMA5 & EMA9
An UP move is a LIME Bar and DOWN is a RED Bar

The Daily Average figures change from red to green based on whether the range today is higher or lower than yesterday, so if the range was say 60 yesterday and 70 today based on the last 20 days average then the Daily average numbers would be GREEN.

The pips to Open change color from red to green depending on whether the Price is above or below the Open price for the day.

This gives a very good average of the market which i have found to be very accurate. If all the lower timeframes are turning GREEN then a reversal or retracement is on and if the M15 & M30 also change to GREEN then it adds strength to the move of course it goes without saying if you are going to trade against the trend of the H1 & H4 then be very careful, paticularly the H1 gives the TREND STRENGTH for the current day either supported or not supported by the H4.
If both the H1 & H4 are the same color then a currency pair will generally run past the Daily Average figures if different colors or changing between colors the Daily Average is about the top of the range for the day.

<img style="display:block; On an hourly chart, the 24 EMA obviously defines the daily trend. The 8 EMA, which is one-third the length, shows the intraday velocity of “fast” money. A 12 EMA shows the trend of the last half-day. Its value is a place at which price will typically find support when there is a dominant trend. To a lesser extent, this also applies to the 24 EMA. A long-term trend will sometimes catch a breather around this area, with big money accumulating on the opportunity to buy or sell at a substantial discount. Finally, the 72 EMA defines the dominant trend in the market. This trend will reassert itself as cumulative memory persuades traders to resume trading in its direction. If the three shorter-term averages are above the 72 EMA, we are in an uptrend and should not go short. The same applies in reverse for a downtrend.

Cornflower can be used in a number of ways by all kinds of traders. When price pulls back to the area between the 12 and 24 EMAs, the opportunity for a short- to medium-term bounce presents itself. We can enter and set a profit target based on a number of criteria, be they support and resistance areas, pivot points, or a set pip amount. Or we can enter a longer-term trade, perhaps exiting when the 12 EMA crosses down below the 24 EMA. The longer-term setups in this system are powerful and can yield hundreds of pips on a single trade that will last for up to two weeks. Cornflower will catch every major move in the market, providing multiple opportunities to take advantage of a big trend and pretend that one is a bank trader.

Basic System Rules
There are two kinds of entries using this system: pullback (conservative) and initial (aggressive). The pullback entry, which is the heart of this system, enters the market when conditions are quiet and after price has settled into the area between the 8 and 24 EMAs. The timing of this entry can either be mechanical (using either the 12 or 24 EMA) or discretionary in accordance with the trader’s judgment on whether price is moving back in the direction of the trend.

The initial entry aims to capitalize on the first movement of a new trend, defined by a thrust beyond the 72 EMA that is confirmed by a turnaround in the shorter EMAs. It is more risky because there is always the possibility of a reversal. For this reason, it is probably better to use the M30 chart for this type of entry. Moved up by 30 minutes, one has the opportunity to take a small profit or scratch a trade at or near break-even if a reversal presents itself.

Only the H1 and M30 charts should be used with the Cornflower template. Shorter time periods will lead to whipsaws, whereas longer time periods lag behind the market too much.

The following rules are valid no matter the time of day. The quiet of the Asian session actually provides some excellent opportunities for entry, which is a boon for the trader whose day job makes watching the market during London or New York an impossibility.

Pullback (conservative) entry – use hourly chart
·8, 12, and 24 EMAs are all above (long) or below (short) the 72 EMA
·Price has pulled back to the 12 or 24 EMA (the more aggressive the trend, the more shallow the pullback.
·Enter for 20 pips, or hold depending on trader’s judgment of the strength of the trend.

Initial (aggressive) entry – use M30 chart with identical indicators
·Price has moved with authority above or below the 72 EMA. By “moved with authority,” I mean a candle that has closed near the top of its range.
·8, 12, 24 EMAs are all pointed in the direction of price, and preferably already stacked in a perfect order (8 over 12 over 24 for long, 24 over 12 over 8 for short).
·Enter for 20 pips and hold if the thrust develops into a real trend.

Using hourly and half-hourly charts, 20 pips is a realistic initial profit target, especially if one is trading GBPUSD, GBPJPY, or EURJPY. Even the other major pairs should yield this much on a properly gauged signal. By “major,” I mean EURUSD, USDCHF, AUDUSD, USDJPY, NZDUSD, and USDCAD. With the possible exception of EURGBP, any pair that involves two of the seven major currencies should be tradable with this system. Cornflower is particularly well-suited for entering long positions on the yen crosses (carry trades).

Entries may be timed more precisely with a 5M timeframe. More on this later.

Sidus Method

Timeframe
The longer the timeframe, the better. I would recommend to use at least the one hour timeframe (H1), but I rather use the four hour timeframe (H4).

Chart
I set my graphic in barcharts, but that is really your own preference.Indicators
Add the following indicators :

+ EMA (exponential moving average) : 18 in yellow (closing price)
‘The Tunnel’
+ EMA (exponential moving average) : 28 in yellow (closing price)
+ RVI (Relative Vigor Index) : period 100 in blue and red
Trading pairs

Use whatever you like. I recommend using pairs you are familiar with. Always bear in mind news releases, long term estimates and other fundamental trading aspects.

Getting in a trade
Long
If the blue RVI crosses the red RVI upwards AND is followed by a confirmation of a cross by the EMA’s from the yellow tunnel.

Short
If the blue RVI crosses the red RVI downwards AND is followed by a confirmation of a cross by the EMA’s from the yellow tunnel.

!!! Always keep an eye on the main trend of the RVI. For example : If you get a long signal and the RVI is also going up then your almost sure that the signal will be correct !!!

Getting out a trade
You can stay in a trade as long you dont get new signals on that pair. Especially pay attention to a internal cross (or extreme narrowing) of the yellow tunnel EMA’s. This means that the trend is likely to loose strenght and maybe even to reverse.I recommend a trailing stop. Monitor your trade the first day, to see if you have followed the right signal. Don’t worry ! we still have solutions to this problem. Normally I prefer to trade long period to short period except when I want to play game I will use scalping system.

Long trading will enable you to have more time to relax and to do other business, and the system that I will write down here is a very simple one.The pairs you can trade using this system are : : GJ,GU,EU,AU,UJ,UChf,UCad,NU and EJ.

Remember traders, we only have 4-6 entry point for every pair a month with approx. 100-200 nice pips each.

We must patience to wait those entry points, so keep smiling…and don’t worry, you will make money. Iam sure about that !.

Here is the tool you need.

EMA5 Red
EMA 15 yellow
EMA 50 White

MACD (5,13,1):
Fast EMA 5
Slow EMA 13
MACD SMA 1

Momentum value 10
QQE
TF : 4 hrs

Buy :
When the 5 Ema crossed 50 upward that is the first signal. Please check the MACD, the bar must be climbing up. after 15 crossed 50 the signal is 98% bullish.

Please open your buy there with TP1 80 pips and lock profit for 50 pips after TP touched and let the price go to TP2 180 pips.

Usually MACD, QQE and momentum are crossed up at the same time, and that is a signal to upload your weapon.

Patience traders as we are trading in 4h time frame. You just need to focus on some simple tools.

What Is a PIP ?

You know what a pip is already. For purposes of this article,
we’re drawing it as a yellow cube. Do you know that most forex traders spend their careers chasing after pips.

Have you ever watched the market and wondered why the harder you tried, the more quickly the pips distanced themselves from you? I remember when I first started trading that the market would move away from me and I would begin to think: it’s moving.

Why is it moving away from me? Could’t it just as easily move in my direction? For a while, I made money on gut decisions. I’d make some progress, a few pips or more a day, but never really understand the signals. For instance, I’d make a profit just barely, and watch in horror /relief as the market swung the opposite way right after I exited the trade. Or I’d enter a trade, lose a bunch of pips, and then exit the position at a loss – only to watch the market swing back in my favor.

Only, of course, the position was closed and all I could do was sit there and watch.

Until you’re no longer impressed with pips – no longer frightened by them, nor infatuated by them, not in love with them, no longer simply hating them – they won’t give you the time of day. The acquisition of pips is your only goal in the currency market.

But pips are fickle and if you pursue them full of emotion, you’re going to get burned. You must be able to calmly make a plan, stick to it. But I could do none of those things.

My emotions took hold of me and turned me into an idiot.

It’s the same for pips. We all want them. We all want as many of them as we can get. But some of us are willing to risk everything for just a few of them. We’ll chase after them like a 12-year old boy. And you know what? They don’t give a damn about you and me.

This strategy will present a plan for learning about pips, where they’re going, what they’re about to do, and then arm you with a strategy that once implemented, can take a lot of the emotion out of trading.

Your goal will be to:

1. Enter positions as soon as a particular signal is given.
2. Exit the position as soon as a particular signal is given.

The payoff will be:

1. The emotion should be gone from the trading. You will enter and exit trades with discipline and focus.

2. You’ll get about 20 pips on the good trades. There will be many more good trades than bad ones.

Attitude is 99% of Trading

Developing the right attitude about your trading is most of the work. Once you get your attitude (your discipline) under control, you’re going to have more pips than you know what to do with.

So much has been written about this that you’d think that you’ve already heard enough about it. I’ve written about it elsewhere, too1, but I’ve got to stress that no technique or strategy is worth more than the discipline you have to implement it.

The 5/13/62 strategy requires discipline. This is the most powerful personal characteristic you can acquire. Period. It will earn you more money and success than any other attitude or personality trait. If you’re low on discipline, please take the time to consider what I’m saying:

In trading, discipline simply means two things:

1. Enter a position as soon as a particular signal is given.

2. Exit the position as soon as a particular signal is given.

If you do not acquire discipline, this system will not work for you. No trading system will work for you. But this ins’t a book about discipline. In fact, this book assumes that you have discipline, or you’re willing to acquire in order to implement a profitable trading system.

So, for the purpose of this discussion, and for the testing of this strategy, please be disciplined – even as you practice.

EMAs are the core of the 5/13/62 Strategy

Exponential Moving Averages (described in more detail below) are at the core of its strategy. From the beginning you should understand that I did’t invent the 5/13/62 strategy. At least I don’t think I did.

There are some extras that I add in, but essentially, all of this information is available elsewhere. That said, I believe that most of the people that write about forex have a way of putting you and I to sleep.

So maybe this is the first time you’ve heard about it, but in any event, I’ll try to keep it interesting.

If the chart above doest’t make any sense to you, even with the legend, then here’s a brief explanation:

1. When the 5 crosses below the 13, and both of them cross below the 62, it’s possibly a good sell signal.

2. Inversely, we can assume that the opposite is true: when the 5 crosses above the 13, and both cross above the 62, it’s a buy signal.

What is EMA ?

Moving averages are the average value of the price of a currency pair, over a certain period of time. A 5-day moving average for the EUR/USD would be the average price of the EUR/USD over a 5 day period.

You can base the average on the closing, opening, or other price. Each time the MA is calculated, the earliest period is dropped and the latest period is added. In this way, the average price fluctuates according to the fixed time period.

The exponential moving average (EMA) puts the emphasis on the most recent prices, and less emphasis on the older prices. Sometimes you won’t see much difference between the EMA and the Simple Moving Average, which does not weigh any price
more than another.

Do I just look for the
crosses?

I have backtested (and so have many, many others) simply buying when the signals cross above and selling when the signals cross below.

There are even companies that build trading robots that will
automatically buy and sell when these signals are given. But, as much as I’d like to say differently, it’s not that easy.

There are all types of false signals (crosses that happen but that don’t turn profitable).

Here are some other principles of this strategy, divided in three sections: entering the trade, staying in the trade, exiting the trade. The principles of each section will help you maximize your gains and minimize your losses.

But first, a quick look at the tools you’ll need.

Charting

You can use the free charting software that comes with your
account – but I’ve not been impressed with anyone’s offerings. Some dealers don’t allow you to show more than 2 EMAs on a single screen.

Some do, but the process of charting them is difficult or unreliable.

The 30 minute chart

I have used the 15 minute, 30 minute, 1hr, 4hr, daily … even the weekly chart. You can really use anything longer than 15 minutes. I recommend starting with the 15 minute or the 30 minute, so you will see more opportunities in a shorter period of time.

The 5 and the 13 alone

Chart the 5, the 13, and the 62 period Exponential Moving Averages.

Part I: Making the Trade

Below you’ll find the principles behind making good trades. And avoiding the bad ones. These are guidelines. Good trades based on these guidelines are the result of applying them enough times that you begin to get a feel for the market.

I want to emphasize that you can change these rules. You can manipulate them. You will be most successful when you make this “your own,” by adjusting so that you feel most comfortable.

Holidays and other bad days

Try not to trade on holidays, especially U.S. holidays. It’s best to stay out of the market on those days and catch up on time with your family, see a movie, adjust the metal rod that was placed in your back, insert a metal rod in your back, or fire up the barbie-q and roast some weenies. Or you can back test your strategies. It’s also best to never,
ever, ever, enter a trade past 14:00 GMT on a Friday.

On holidays and late on Fridays, the market is unpredictable and might not move enough to give you any profit. Or it might move 50 points in one direction just for the heck of it, and then move back. Of course it might move a zillion pips, but that’s the exception rather than the rule. Then you’re stuck in what might become a losing position, but meanwhile, you’re losing money to premiums/interest paid to your

broker. This is a good time to shove a metal rod into your spine.

Please take my advice and just stay out of the market, with this system, at these times. You may lose some opportunities, but you will lose (also) the chance of getting trapped in a motionless or unpredictable market.

Other systems, long term systems in particular, can work okay late on Fridays and on holidays. But that is the subject of another ebook. One, incidentally, that I have not written yet.

Trading on the 5 and the 13

You should be prepared to buy anytime the 5 crosses above the 13. You should also be prepared to sell anytime the 5 crosses below the 13.

You should be prepared to do this even if they do not simultaneously cross the 62.
This does not mean that you take the trade immediately. It means that you are aware that a trade might be coming.

Is the 13 crossing the 62?

The next part of the system is to watch for the 13 to cross the 62.Whether above or below (long or short positions), you’re in good territory. At these times, it might be a very, very good opportunity.

I want you to also focus on the fact that the pair, after this crossover occurs at the pink circle, return to hit the 62 EMA again – and this is an excellent time to sell the pair all over again. This means that if you miss the original trade, it’s totally acceptable to enter the trade when the pair
rises up and hits the 62.

This works for long and short trades – the 62 EMA will act as a dynamic level of support and resistance.

Stops and limits

Last of all, do the following:

1. Set a stop-loss at 20 pips beyond the 62 EMA.
2. Trail the trade by 20 pips (using a trailing stop loss), or:

3. Set a profit target at a recent high or low (something that creates a double top or double bottom).
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/RznEFswh73I/AAAAAAAAAFU/7QIqWX621PY/s400/image002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132348852558491506" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Q_kLqWY4bew/RznD_Mwh72I/AAAAAAAAAFM/jSovu1KfYR4/s400/image001.gif.png" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5132348740889341794" />

During the Trade

Lots can happen during the trade. Here are some things to consider and remember during the trade.

Set it and forget it?

believe that anyone that tells you to “Set it and forget it” is appealing to your desire for quick, easy profits without any work.

Right now, I would like to appeal to your desire for quick and easy profits without any work. I will do this by telling you that if
you choose a recent high/low as your profit target, or a trailing stop, then you can walk away.

Initial volatility

At the beginning of the trade, you might see some initial volatility.

This means that after the candle closes, you might see the next candle go opposite from where you want it to be. Don’t get overly concerned about this. You need at least 20 pips of free room to let the trade gather momentum.

And remember what I said (not about the rock band): the pair might rise up or fall down and hit the 62 EMA. This is just another opportunity to get in the trade if you did not already (or add to your position).

Part III: Exiting the Trade

We already covered this, because you set the limit at a recent high or low, or you set a 20 pip trailing stop.
Let the system exit the trade for you, based on your stops and limits.

Most forex dealers will guarantee stops and limits, so you’v got little to worry about.

That’s it!

Forex Term

Types of Forex Order

Entry Orders:
An order, stop or limit, initiating an open position and executed when a specific price level is reached and/or broken. The execution is handled by the dealing desk and the order is in effect until cancelled by the client.

Entry Limit Orders:
An order initiating
an open position to sell as the market rises, or buy as the market falls. The
client believes the market will reverse direction at the level of the order.

Entry Stop Orders:
An order initiating
an open position to sell as the market falls, or buy as the market rises. The
client placing the order believes that prices will continue to move in the same direction as the previous momentum after hitting the order level.

Limit Orders:
A limit order is an order tied to a specific position for the purpose of locking in the gains from that position. A limit order placed on a buy position is an order to sell. A limit order placed on a sell position is an order to buy. A limit order remains in effect until the position is liquidated or cancelled by the client.

Market Order:
An order to buy or sell which is to be filled immediately at the prevailing currency price.

OCO (One Cancels the Other):
A stop-loss order and a limit order linked to a specific position. One order, the stop, is to prevent additional loss on the position, and one order, the limit is to take profit on the position. When either order is executed, closing the position, the other is automatically cancelled.

Stop-Loss Orders:
An order linked to a specific position to close that position and prevent additional losses. A stop-loss order placed on a buy position is an order to sell that position. A stop-loss order on a sell position is an order to buy that position. A stop-loss order remains in effect until the position is liquidated or cancelled by the client.

Hedge fund:
A private, unregulated investment fund for wealthy investors (minimum investments typically begin at US$1 million) specializing in high risk, short-term speculation on bonds, currencies, stock options and derivatives.

Hedging:
A strategy designed to reduce investment risk. Its purpose is to reduce the volatility of a portfolio by investing in alternative instruments that offset the risk in the primary portfolio.

Leverage:
The degree to which an investor or business is utilizing borrowed money. The amount, expressed as a multiple, by which the notional amount traded exceeds the margin required to trade. For example, if the notional amount traded is $100,000 dollars and the required margin is $2000, the trader can trade with 50 times leverage ($100,000/$2000). For investors, leverage means buying on margin to enhance return on value without increasing investment. Leveraged investing can be extremely risky because you can lose not only your money, but the money you borrowed as well.

Liquidity:
The ability of a market to accept large transactions. A function of volume and activity in a market. It is the efficiency and cost effectiveness with which positions can be traded and orders executed. A more liquid market will provide more frequent price quotes at a smaller bid/ask spread.

Long:
A position purchasing a particular currency against another currency, anticipating that the value of the purchased currency will appreciate against the second currency.

Margin:
Funds that customers must deposit as collateral to cover any potential losses from adverse movements in prices.

Margin Call:
A requirement for additional funds or other collateral, from a broker or dealer, to increase margin to a necessary level to guarantee performance on a position that has moved against the customer.

Market Maker:
A dealer that supplies prices, and is prepared to buy and sell at those bid and ask prices. All CFTC registered FCMs are market makers.

Pip (tick):
The term used in currency markets to represent the smallest incremental move an exchange rate can make. Depending on context, normally one basis point (0.0001 in the case of EUR/USD, GBD/USD, USD/CHF and .01 in the case of USD/JPY).

Position:
A view expressed by a trader through the buying or selling of currencies, and can also refer to the amount of currency either owned or owed by an investor.

Rollover:
The settlement of a deal is rolled forward to another value date with the cost of this process based on the interest rate differential of the two currencies.
